The use of Augmented Reality for entrepreneurship

The AROMA project is motivated by the EU’s Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan and in particular by the need to amplify Europe’s entrepreneurial potential. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the emerging digital technology with huge potential: its simplicity together with the wide range of possibilities it offers make this technology a valuable tool to innovate among new companies. However, many individuals are not aware of this technology and even worse on how AR can be used for business purposes.

The overall objective of the AROMA project is to therefore develop a digital training toolbox through which the project’s target audience can be provided with training in Augmented Reality (AR) technology integrated with training in business skills, the aim being of fostering a novel breed of entrepreneurs that are able to exploit AR in different business scenarios.

To do so, the partnership created a curriculum, together with a compilation of real case studies and a training course that is part of the AROMA training toolkit, which aims to help this new companies to explore new (augmented) possibilities.
